A recently held innovation workshop on seafood had major industry players joining hands to build a futuristic industry. The topics covered during the workshop included innovative feeding techniques on farmed fish, gene characteristics and vaccines. This amalgamation of the scientific elements with the trendsetters of seafood industry, finance and public sector laid a new foundation for expansion of boundaries with regard to cooperation, synergy and creative energy exploitation. This unique innovation workshop opened up the doors for broader participation prospects from sources outside the industry. Delegations from three continents participated in this two day workshop. The success of this workshop is bound to encourage other pioneering industry segments to follow suit.
