Severs Disease and its treatment
February 14th, 2010 . by adminSevers disease is a problem in children aged 10-15 years. This is because of having a strain in the growing cartilage zone in the back of the heel bone or calcaneus. It can get bad enough to interfere with activity levels as it is more common in those children who are physically active. It is also more common in those children who play sports on hard surfaces. It is also common for those individual who plays on the ground which is hard especially at the start of the winter sports season. When you squeeze the back of the heel, the heel might be painful at the back part. The most common treatment is a cushioned heel raise and some calf muscle stretching to strengthen the muscles.
