In the past years or so, it seemed to me that contact lenses were only meant for the affluent. I got that impression because of the high price that was attached to contact lenses. When an eye doctor recommended it to my aunt many years ago, she almost said yes but backed off when she realized that her salary would just all go to the purchase of contacts.
