My father, the pack rat, keeps anything and everything. Although he and mom didn’t have a big wedding, he had little odds and ends tucked away from that day. It’s funny because in my other friend’s households, it’s always the mom who’s the pack rat. That does not hold true for us. His being a pack rat came in handy, though, when my brother got married. For some reason, no one thought of preparing a set of wedding cufflinks for him. It was already the night before the wedding when we realized we didn’t have one prepared. Out came that little chest of wedding odds and ends, which revealed a quaint set of really old cufflinks.
