I suppose if I had my choice, I would like my son to spend his days outside playing sports or even helping his dad with the landscaping business. However, my son chooses to spend his free time playing Magic the Gathering with some people he meets up with at the card shop. There are worse things he could be doing with his time. This game allows him to use his mind, both mathematically and strategically. If he were not playing this game with friends, he would probably be holed up in his room watching TV or playing computer games anyway. I pick Magic cards over that.
