Sometimes, the best way to save money in a down economy is to buy food in bulk. Oftentimes, it is cheaper and gives you a larger supply that will last a longer time. There are tons of places that sell pet food at wholesale rates and in larger quantities. Dog food, cat food, fish food and turtle food are some of the easiest pet foods to find in bulk, which is beneficial if one of these types of pets belongs to you. Most of the time, the easiest pet foods to buy in bulk is dry food  that comes in larger bags or buckets for the animal. It is easier to store because it doesn’t require any special care like live food (crickets and other insects for example) or wet food that may need to be refrigerated or kept cold because it has a specific expiration date to adhere to. Even though you may be paying more up front for pet food in bulk, it lasts longer and is usually cheaper per pound or serving size.
