I have to do something to teach my daughter reading as soon as possible. She is five years old and will fail kindergarten if her reading doesn’t improve. I am looking into phonics reading. I need an intensive course that will bring her up to the reading level she needs to be at. She takes reading tests at school and she has not passed one yet. The teacher said it is almost too late for her to catch up. I feel like a terrible mother. I know she is smart enough to learn but she has trouble paying attention. She has a very short attention span.
