The Power of Music
December 17th, 2009 . by adminI have never even heard of anyone who didn’t like some kind of music. I strongly believe this is because music is very powerful, for better or for worse. Music can express things words can’t always express. Good music can bring the Holy Ghost into a room and bad music can invite bad influences very quickly. Music plays a large role in the worship of members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In fact, mormon doctrine teaches that the song of the righteous is a prayer unto the Lord (Doctrine and Covenants 25:12). The most powerful manifestations of the Spirit I have ever felt have been through music.
